Claire Jeesung

It was when we were attending a class with the exchange students from Korea that we saw her. At the age of 21, Claire Jeesung is currently taking her degree in TESL in Malaysia. There were many other exchange students but she was the one who caught our attention. We had an opportunity to talk to her after we attended their Methodology of Listening and Speaking class with Mr. Adlan. We got to know about her passion, her interests and her experience in Malaysia.

Growing up in Seoul, Korea, Claire has always admired English. Even in school, her friends would seek for her help and she would teach them English. She was even the best student for English back in her school. This made her interested in learning more about English and teaching others.

Besides having a passion in teaching English, Claire also loves the entertainment. Her favourite boy band is Maroon 5. One of her favourite songs by them is Sunday Morning. Not forgetting her roots, she also likes 2PM, a Korean boy band. She even watches Running Man and her favourite in the game show is Yoo Jae Suk.

After talking about the reason why she is here and her interests, we proceeded to ask her about her experience in Malaysia. During her 5 weeks stay here, she managed to visit several places around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. She went to i-City in Shah Alam, Putrajaya and Pantai Banting. She also visited the famous Petronas Twin Towers with her friends. Some of her favourite Malaysian food is fried rice and roti naan.

As a conclusion, Claire has a great passion, interests and is willing to share her experience in Malaysia. We hope that she will achieve her dream in becoming a teacher and will visit Malaysia again someday.
